Winter wonderland

Day 1 in London was an eventful jetlagged blur which included a frosty stroll round the Winter wonderland Christmas markets in Hyde Park, my first squirrel sighting, lunch at Pret Manger, a visit to Victoria and Albert museum and ice skating at Somerset House at 10:30pm at night.

London calling

Arrived in London at 6am GMT after 26 hours of travelling and 24 hours of night time, albeit with 2 hours of sleep. Met at Heathrow by big bro who came bearing gifts including a much needed scarf, as it was 5 degrees. First up a big coffee, a taxi sighting and a look around the new hood, Hammersmith. At 8am the sun decided to make its first appearance, pheww I thought I lost him there for a while.

First stop, Perth

Arrived safely in Perth, spent a couple of days with my cousin, her friends and my uncle looking around Fremantle and Perth. Soaking up the most of the 35 degrees in preparation for London weather.
